Phil is a talented artist based in the UK. His work ranges from oils paintings to life drawings and from simple but effective soft-pencil sketches to watercolours. Increasingly, he is pushing his work towards textures and amongst his collection of work you will find detailed portraits and semi abstract seascapes sitting alongside ideas for 3D canvases and projections.
Phil enjoys likes the challenge of outdoor 'plein air' painting, he likes to work alla prima where's there's an opportunity but many of the works that Phil produces involves painting, lifting paint, removing surfaces, adding more paint and working an idea through to a satisfying visual conclusion.
