It's been a long time but THANKS

Life can sort of get in the way of stuff, can't it! It certainly got in the way of me posting a regular blog! But don't be offended - just take heart from knowing that it's not just you with good intentions. Mind you - at the same time, don't you be damned by my inability to spin more than one plate at a time!

So Covid then, eh! One of the every few plus points of the last year or so has been the fact that I've been able to work on my painting and drawing technique. I've got an Instagram page going (philwhite.art) and I've completed a few small commissions. Oh - and there's an Etsy shop which I plan to expand in the coming months.

I feel across oil painting like I've not been before...I'm finding time to just develop my mark making - and I've even revisited Watercolours! YES - watercolours! the most difficult of all of them. And do you know what - with all of it, I've found the better the materials I use, the better the outcome of the work. I know - it's not rocket science is it....but it still took me a while.

And you Keep painting, you. If you're a newby - hang in there. Not every painting has to be a masterpiece. And if you're an expert - thanks you for the inspiration you've given me in the last 18 months. I couldn't have done it without you.
